$50 on red, better be right...

To celebrate the Labor day weekend, Phil and I are driving up to Reno early sunday morning to gamble and watch sports all day long in some smelly, smoke filled casino. I have Miguel's lucky hat and my plaid shirt from Tahoe when I won huge money.

Rumor has it in Sparks, Nevada there is the Rib cook off that is world famous and we might make a side stop to check it out. Oh, and we are hitting up Sonic of course.
Charging up the batteries to take tons of pics, wish me luck!.

I swear I will post pics of my new car. My first trip is this Sunday to Reno with Phil for Sonic, gambling, and sports betting.

A couple of nights ago I received one of the most unsettling email that basically ruined my night and most of my day. There's one person who was there for me and I will never forget it.

Long Overdue

Today I am the proud owner of a new car, a 2008 Toyota Yaris. I had zero intentions of purchasing one today but the planets were aligned. Time to really penny pinch and pay this car off fast. Pics to come tomorrow......

Weekend

When I wake up it will already be Friday meaning that my 3 day weekend will soon begin. So much I wanna do but so little time. Here are some of the things I will be doing:

Dirty South

I was this close to not going to SF tonite for dinner with Lauren after eating Taco Bell for lunch. I felt better and made my trip to the foggy, overcast jungle that is San Francisco. Lauren and I drove to Potrero Hill and stepped into Hard Knox Cafe, an authentic Soul Food establishment. We started off with homemade Arnold Palmers and corn muffins.



We then proceeded to get catfish and I had blackeye peas with rice along with mashed potatoes with gravy while Lauren had fried catfish with yams and beans with rice. This place did not disappoint!


Afterwards we went to Japantown to find some bubble tea and stepped into this FOB store that was about import cars and stumbled onto this fine piece of product

Stoned

Just got back from seeing Pineapple Express. Do yourself a favor and watch it. Nonstop laughs and not the typical stoner movie. Might have to go watch it again this weekend.

Tomorrow after work I'm taking Bart straight to SF to meet up with Lauren and maybe check out some new apartments in downtown because she's a baller. Afterwards we are going to Hard Knox Cafe to get some real soul food. I am really pumped up for it!!!

Only person that can make me feel better is 2,500 miles away

I put a new saddle on my bike and the ride is 10x better. I also feel that I'm pedaling a lot stronger and not wasting less energy. Now I need to work on my brakes and chain. I wish I had the money to keep everything sans the frame and get everything upgraded. New grip can't hurt either ;)

This week I'll finally book my Eastern European trip to Budapest, Vienna, and Prague. Big plans this week, so many people to hang out with and so little time.
