New batch of muffins

I just made of new muffins that are cranberry/lemon peel hybrid . They taste a lot better because I cut down on the unbleached flour and put in more flax seed meal and rolled oats. I need to figure out how to ship my vegan baked goods via Post Office to Ani because I really want to try some of her vegan chocolate chip cookies

Attn: Oregon St. Kicker

Thanks for costing me $400 dollars. I appreciate you shaving points and screwing everyone over!

At least Nicola comforted me and kept saying that USC lost and that's more important <3

Wonderful Home Decor!!!

There's an awesome Mario print that is limited that I want to buy. Thanks to Holly for showing me this awesome find!!!

Vegan Treats

After work I'm going to the market to buy supplies to make vegan cupcakes. I'm so excited!!

Fast forward to 5 hours later...

I made Vegan cranberry orange muffins tonite and it turned out great. The ingredients were all organic as well consisting of unbleached flour, non-aluminum baking powder, baking soda, sea salt, organic brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, EnerG egg replacer, rice milk, coconut oil, peel of an orange, and 2 cups of cranberries.

My roommate tried one and loved it. I can't wait for my coworkers and family to try it out. I won't say what the ingredients are until they eat it and I get their opinions on them. ;)

Wedding Recap

This weekend was wonderful seeing my closest friend Joe take a new step in his life and becoming a husband to a wonderful women Hannah. The wedding was wonderful and seeing those two people smiling and all the emotions they went through made me very emotion as well, although I did not visible show it. Aside from the actual ceremony, the highlight of Friday was me catching the garter belt that Joe tossed. Call it fate or whatnot but it seemed fitting that I've known Joe since the 6th grade (14 years) and he's considered my unofficial best friend. I guess this means I'll be in a relationship soon, who knows though. Pictures of the wedding will come soon. Overall I'm glad the wedding was a success and I wish nothing but the best for Hannah and Joe. It really puts things into perspective as times are changing while we get older and in one way things are growing apart between friends, new relationships are coming closer together.

White Wedding Day

Today is the big day for my really good friend Joe who is getting married today at 6pm. Yesterday we had the rehearsal which was brutal because it was really bright and sunny out making it obvious that we were visibly sweaty. I'm working a half day today and getting a spiffy haircut and maybe using my sunglass hut giftcards to buy a nice new pair of sunglasses.

Although Joe had requested that I not do a speech at the dinner due to time constraints, I have something up my sleeve and plan to do an impromptu quick speech that hopefully will get everyone in the room all teary eyed :P Everyone keeps asking me if I feel nervous or excited about the wedding and my honest answer is that I feel neither. To me it seems like a regular day but with two people getting married. I really have no responsibilities with the wedding and all I do besides stand at the alter is help assist people to their chairs before the wedding. Maybe a part of me feels envious of Joe and Hannah's happiness or maybe that's how I always operate, as if I don't care about anything and just go on with it.

St. Louis here I come!!!

Just booked my flight for a weekend trip in October to St. Louis to Alena and Todd's party. What's really cool besides seeing these two wonderful people is that the party is at a hockey game, Blues vs. Blackhawks!!! Since I have no rooting interest for both teams, I'll cheer for Patrick Kane cause he's a stud :P

My other mission besides spending time with them is continuing my mission to try awesome local food. Supposedly there's a restaruant in St. Louis that has a sammich called the Elvis which consists of : pbj, banana, bacon, cheese, and red pepper flakes all on a grilled texas toast. WOW!!!!!!!!!

Major OOF at MTV

As if there needs to be another reason to hate MTV and what it stands for, reports leak out regarding a new reality tv show that is being filmed but requested slash and burn of a remote part of an island to build their "set". The new install of Real World/Road Rules Challenge is slated for September 17th. What is really ironic is that this occurs after MTV attempts to jump on the green bandwagon with their Green Crusade.

Update on my new "diet"

It's been one week since my departure of high frutose corn syrup/soda and continued fast food diet and I'll be the first to admit that it's really hard to avoid HFCS products. There's been numerous times this past week where I was ready to buy or eat something but double checked the ingredients only to find something really disgusting.

New Found Glory or Ohio St. Football?

All hail the sweatervest!

Big game at 5pm between the University of Stupid Crybabies (USC) vs. THE Ohio St. University. All signs pointing to USC to win convincingly as it looks doubtful even from this faithful fan that the Buckeyes can pull it off but I will still support them like crazy and hope they can pull it off.

That being said, I'm missing New Found Glory w/ Crime in Stereo tonite in Petaluma. It was a tough decision but I'm having friends over and I can always seen NFG the next time they roll around.

Knick Knacks

Aside from me learning Polish another happy that I've decided to start is collecting knick knacks. I'm focusing on kitchen decor such as mason jars, racks, and table scape related. There are some people that find this stuff to be "girly" but to them I say no way!! My only problem is to find a place to store all this treasure that I find at thrift stores, estate sales, and craigslist. Check out this awesome vintage spice rack. GIMME!!!

Jak się masz?

I think that is my first attempt at saying "How Are You?" in Polish. I have decided to start learning a new language with Polish and Russian being my two choices. I have decided to ditch Russian seeing that it is such a complex language to learn. My goal is to become really verse in the language in a years time as sort of a challenge to myself.

Here are three albums that I'm listening to in heavy rotation. It's almost the weekend meaning the big Ohio St. vs USC game Saturday night at 5pm. Realistically speaking I am not too confident on THE Ohio St. University pulling it off away from The Shoe and beating a really good Trojan team.

Pet Peeves

People not calling you when they say they will. It doesnt annoy me as much as disappoints me that they cant find 5 minute in their "crazy, hectic" life to say hello and see how things are as if they were your friend.

Starting tomorrow I am cutting off anything that has high frutose corn syrup (most sodas, non organic yogurt) etc. It's really scary what it does when you drink it and how it stores in your body for a very low time as it is a refined sugar. This is my slow but progressive start towards almost 100% organic eating. I know it will take time and will cost me more money in the long run but it's something I need to do to take care of my body. My eventual goal is vegetarianism but that wont be for a while.

Someone take care of me

I am in so much pain right now. It got worse a little after lunch. I feel so dizzy, loopy along with my aches and pain. Too bad I'm edge otherwise I would drink my pain away.

Above the Clouds, Above the Ground

In case you did not hear, Joe and I were involved in a hit and run with an SUV while on our bicycles attempting to cross the street to the other side of the Contra Costa Canal Trail. Joe got his back tire clipped causing him to fall and land on his bad left shoulder. I was however not as fortunate as I was hit head on and hit the SUV's hood and flew about 20 ft away from the crosswalk. I laid there for a few minutes with my eyes closed and still in shock that a car actually hit both of us. I then decided to try to move my arms and legs to make sure I wasn't paralyzed and thank goodness I was not.

So after my doctors appointment today I have no broken bones or fractures, just deep bruising, swelling all over my body, and a huge road rash on my right forearm. I would like to thank everyone for their concerns and thoughts as it really meant a lot to me.

I still have terrible thoughts of being flown in the air not knowing where I would land and if the SUV would run me over. Hopefully this doesn't mess me up forever.

I miss my Yari!!!!

Took my Yaris to the dealership to get the passenger door panel fixed because of a small nick that was there before I bought it so they lent me a car from Hertz. For the next 2 days I drive a Chevy Cobalt and I do not like it. I like my Yari and I already feel far apart from her :(

Post Labor Day Weekend

We left for Reno at 5am and went to Starbucks to get some caffeine for the ride up. One of the employees asked why we were up so early on a Sunday and I told him point blank, "We are going to Reno and gambling like the couple of degenerates we are." He looked at me and smiled and didn't care afterward. 2 1/2 hours later we arrive to the Biggest Little City in the World. Before heading to the Grand Sierra Casino, we made a stop to Sonic around 8am and I ended up getting tator tots, chili cheese dogs, and an orange slush.

We sat in the casino sports book area from 9-8:30pm. I ventured my luck to Blackjack with Miguel's lucky straw hat and was doing decent. It wasn't until I was up $80 that I was contemplating leaving the table to continue watching sports when at the last second I decided to put a big stack of chips on the table which was over $120 dollars when to my surprise I hit Blackjack! I ended on that note with an extra $295 in my pocket minus expenses such as gas and food.

We walked around downtown Reno and found the Nugget Diner with the World Famous "Awful Awful Burger" comprised of 1/2 beef with special wheat bun and fixin' and this ginormous basket of seasoned fries.

To cap off the trip we stopped at Sonic again for food to go and I got tator tots with a strawberry slush and Chicken Bacon Texas Toast. I'm never driving home from Reno or Tahoe late night because I didn't realize how tired I was and kept dozing off and braille driving from Auburn to Sacramento...
